Following quickly on the heels of land acquisition, Buana Pacifik International obtained the necessary permits to begin the construction of Gayanti City in mid-2012. With the building permit (Ijin Mendirikan Bangunan, IMB) in hand, the group has the unimpeded right to begin construction in accordance with their legal status as holders of the renewable leasehold land title (Hak Guna Bangunan) that grants the right to construct a building on a plot of land for a period of 20-30 years subject to renewal by applying to the National Land Agency. Demonstrative of their expertise in Indonesia’s property sector, Buana Pacifik International met all criteria required of them over the course of what is often a lengthy application process that involves correspondence with several different organisations and government departments including the Regional Environmental Control Agency (BPLHD) and the local administration’s Zoning Office and Permit Office. Upon receiving the required permits, ground breaking was set for early 2014.
