On 15th December 2016, Trilogi University began a collaboration with Institut Teknologi Bandung that will focus on the values of the ‘Tridharma’ concept. Trilogi University and its partner are set to focus on implementing the principles of the ‘Tridharma’ in addition to pushing for initiatives on human capital development.
On 29th – 30th November 2016, Trilogi University students participated in the 8th Game Prime 2016 event that took place at Balai Kartini in Jakarta. Trilogi University through its most recent event participation looks to foster innovative skills of its enrolled students so as to propel Indonesia’s gaming industry forward in the future.
On 18th August 2016, leading local higher education institution Trilogi University signed a memorandum of understanding with renowned vocational school in aviation studies, STP Aviasi, in an effort to further develop Indonesia’s human capital. Trilogi University’s latest initiative is also in keeping with its plans to collaborate with local and international institutions as a measure to produce highly-adept graduates.
On 27th June 2016, Trilogi University launched the new Pancasila Scholarship in a measure to further support Indonesia’s efforts to improve upon its higher education sector. Trilogi University offers the Pancasila Scholarship to local high school students throughout Indonesia who are seeking to earn their bachelor’s degree in Economic Development for the university’s 2016/2017 academic year.
Trilogi University held a seminar for high school students in cooperation with telecommunications operator 4G LTE Smartfren at its campus on 25th January 2016. The aim of the seminar was to enhance the university’s core philosophy of ‘teknopreneurship’ with the theme, ‘Let’s Get Video Blogging’.
Trilogi University welcomed its newest batch of enrolled students with an opening ceremony on 22nd September 2015 led by the university’s Rector Prof. Dr. Asep Saefuddin. The event saw in attendance Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Mr Suryo Bambang Sulisto and Mr Dian Ruslan, ST., MM who opened the senate hearing.
Trilogi University on 1st October 2014 announced its plans to cooperate with the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, in keeping with its emphasis on preparing students to face the current global economy. The proposed partnership will see the embassy facilitate student exchange between Trilogi University and institutions of higher education in Japan, as well as encourage industry visits to Japanese businesses.
Trilogi University’s rector, Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, on 29th September 2014 discussed challenges to research in Indonesia in an article featured by local newspaper, Jawa Pos. In presenting a new strategy to advance the country’s quality of research, Dr. Saefuddin primarily focused upon encouraging greater cooperation between government agencies, institutions of higher education, and industry.
One of the most popular candidates for the Minister of Research and Technology position in the cabinet of Indonesia’s newly elected government; Prof. Yohanes Surya on 18th August 2014 tempered expectations surrounding his candidacy. In an interview published by Viva News, Prof. Surya instead put forward his ideal person for the job: Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, current Rector of Trilogi University.
Trilogi University on 28th April 2014 published its Grand Design for Research & Community Empowerment; a master plan providing guidelines on the areas of research to be focused on by the university over the years to come. Written in accordance with directives from the Directorate General of Higher Education as well as the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Grand Design puts in place a framework for research conducted by Trilogi University between 2014 and 2019
In the 26th April 2014 edition of Media Indonesia, a leading daily newspaper, Trilogi University Rector Dr Ir. Asep Saefuddin discussed in great detail the current state of education in Indonesia and the issues that continue to hamper its advancement. Featured in the newspaper’s opinion section, the article at its core emphasized the need to separate education from politics
On 3rd April 2014, Trilogi University’s Rector Dr Ir. Asep Saefuddin on behalf of the university participated in a socialisation event organised by the local government of Riau, Sumatra. This event provided leading Indonesian universities with the opportunity to discuss the importance of higher education with civil servants and policy makers positioned to bring about tangible positive change in the province.
On 27th March 2014, Trilogi University celebrated its first anniversary, or ‘Dies Natalis’, at the school’s campus in Kalibata, Jakarta. The event marked the passing of one year since the university undertook its official transformation from STEKPI School of Business & Management into Trilogi University, in what was a move to consolidate a change in direction and curriculum to focus on community involvement as well as technology driven entrepreneurship.
On 11th January 2014, Trilogi University held its first graduation ceremony since making its official transformation from STEKPI 商学院 & Management. Attended by the current Chairman of the Jakarta branch of the Indonesian Education Development Foundation (YPPIJ) Dr. (HC) Drs. Subiakto Tjakrawerdaja as well as Professor Dr. Ilza Mayuni, a distinguished representative of the Ministry of Education and Culture;
On October 4th 2013, Trilogi University formally introduced its new rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, at an event on campus attended by several notable figures from the Indonesian education and business communities. The appointment of Dr. Saefuddin is indicative of Trilogi University’s continued commitment to producing graduates capable of tackling growing concerns over food security and social inequality;
On Sunday 7th April, an event entitled Super Tryout 2013 was held in collaboration with Bimbel Tes Alumni at Trilogi University’s campus in Jakarta. The event was attended by over 1,000 participants from elementary, junior and high school level.
On the 27th March 2013, the new Trilogi University was officially launched at the school’s campus in Kalibata, Jakarta. The event marks the official transformation of STEKPI 商学院 and Management to a fully-fledged university under the new name of Trilogi University.
