On 21st November, ENVIPLAST® attended and participated in the 2013 Asian Packaging Conference, which was focused on the topic of the Green Packaging Revolution. Hosted by the Asian Packaging Federation (APF) and the Indonesian Packaging Federation (IPF), the event sought to inform business players from Asia’s leading companies of the benefits of using eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. As a speaker during the event’s opening day in Kemayoran, Jakarta, ENVIPLAST® delivered a presentation on the topic of bio-based films and the urgent need to minimise the usage of conventional single use plastic bags.

Through this presentation, ENVIPLAST® elucidated upon the many advantages that its bio-based film has to offer and discussed at great length the rigorous testing the product underwent over a six-year period prior to being made available to consumers. The company also clearly demonstrated the potential applications of bio-based film to an audience of potential clients already interested in sourcing eco-friendly packaging as they look to adapt to a growing consumer movement away from conventional plastic.

This initiative to be an active voice in forums discussing the merits of green products is very much a hallmark of ENVIPLAST®’s approach to generating market presence and is central to its goal of promoting the widespread use of bio-based polymers. Over the course of 2013, the company made similar presentations at eco-conventions in Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan and has initiated plans to target other specialised expos such as those hosted by the food and hospitality industries.
