PT Dan Liris | Bateeq Debuts Fall/Winter Collection at Indonesia Fashion Week 2016
13.03.2016

On 12th March 2016, Dan Liris’ in-house fashion retail brand Bateeq unveiled its Fall/Winter Collection at Indonesia Fashion Week 2016. This year’s Indonesia Fashion Week took place at the Jakarta Convention Centre from 10th – 13th March 2016 and is a renowned annual event organised by the esteemed Indonesian Fashion Entrepreneur and Designer Association (APPMI); it additionally serves as a platform for highlighting the latest trends in the local fashion industry. Bateeq’s designer and President Director of Dan Liris, Ms Michelle Tjokrosaputro sought inspiration in everyday wear in developing the Fall/Winter Collection. The newest Bateeq collection combines traditional batik patterns with contemporary motifs and is therefore tailored to appeal to a young and fashion-savvy market segment.

Bateeq achieved retail success through its provision of a wide-ranging Batik-inspired clothing line that is suitable for a target market in search of modern as well as conventional style. As such, the recently debuted Bateeq Fall/Winter Collection featured apparel incorporating batik motifs including geometrical kawung, red truntum, wirasat parang, triangular parang, rang-rang AW16, black and white kawung, and brown kawung. The use of these aesthetically-pleasing patterns within Bateeq’s recently-launched clothing selection demonstrates its commitment to honour one of Indonesia’s longstanding crafts.

Through its returning participation at Indonesia Fashion Week, Bateeq showcases the brand’s ability in adapting to the latest fashion trends in addition to setting the standards for contemporary batik-wear. This enables Bateeq to generate greater market awareness for modern batik apparel among local and international consumers. Bateeq outlets are currently available in 20 cities throughout Indonesia including Jakarta, Bali, Bandung, and Batam, with further retail expansion plans expected in the near future.
