From 21st – 27th October 2017, Dan Liris’ in-house brand Bateeq participated in Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2018. Themed “Bhinneka & Berkarya” (Diverse & Productive), the 10th annual organisation of JFW featured fashion shows from Indonesian and international designers as well as brands.
Renowned Indonesian textile and garment manufacturer, Dan Liris, has started producing jacquard woven fabric in keeping with the company’s plans to expand upon its current portfolio of business services. Jacquard weave is more durable compared to basic weave hence Dan Liris is able to offer peace of mind to clothing companies which uphold stringent product quality standards.
In 2017, Dan Liris successfully attained two awards recognising the company for its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes by Business News as well as the Indonesian Ministry of Health. Dan Liris’ latest awards, therefore, showcases the company’s effective CSR initiatives in pushing for concrete developments for the Central Java region.
As a company that places emphasis on the well-being of its employees, Dan Liris sent 10 of its best-performing employees from each business unit on an Umrah trip for 14 days. This annual initiative by the company is aimed at encouraging good work ethics amongst employees throughout and thus make a positive contribution towards the company’s development.
On 27th October 2016, fast-emerging batik clothing brand Bateeq debuted its 2017 Collection at the Jakarta Fashion Week 2017 event in Jakarta. At this year’s Jakarta Fashion Week, Bateeq Creative Director and President Director, Ms Michelle Tjokrosaputro collaborated with renowned Japanese designer Mr Suzuki Takayuki in the creation of the “Catena” Spring/Summer 2017 Collection.
Dan Liris conducted a series of social compliance audits for a number of the company’s leading garment buyers on 1st – 2nd and 9th – 10th August 2016 in keeping with measures to improve upon the quality and efficiency of its daily operations. As part of the procedure, Dan Liris underwent a range of audit standards which took into account aspects such as working hours, working conditions, and equal opportunities at the workplace.
Dan Liris recently hosted two in-house training sessions on the topic of work health and safety for a number of its workers which took place on 12th May 2016 and 21st July 2016. In April and May 2016, leading garment manufacturer Dan Liris hosted a series of in-house training sessions regarding leadership traits for its highly-adept workforce. On 13th April 2016, Dan Liris hosted delegates from Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) – a programme initiated by Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) in cooperation with the British Council with the goal of furthering the development of an innovative and globally-competitive fashion industry in Indonesia.
On 12th March 2016, Dan Liris’ in-house fashion retail brand Bateeq unveiled its Fall/Winter Collection at Indonesia Fashion Week 2016. Bateeq’s designer and President Director of Dan Liris, Ms Michelle Tjokrosaputro sought inspiration in everyday wear when developing the Fall/Winter Collection. The newest Bateeq collection combines traditional batik patterns with contemporary motifs and is therefore tailored to appeal to a young and fashion-savvy market segment.
From the 29th-30th of January 2016 Dan Liris as a member of the esteemed Danliris Group attended an annual meeting at the Hotel Atria in Magelang. Ms Michelle Tjokrosaputro as the CEO of Danliris Group used the annual meeting to launch its new vision, mission, objectives and corporate values under the theme “Source of Joy”.
Bateeq, Dan Liris’ in-house fashion retail brand, on 26th February 2015 showcased its Fall/Winter Ready-To-Wear Collection at Indonesia Fashion Week 2015. Held at the Jakarta Convention Center, this event is highly regarded as one of the most prominent fashion shows in the region and serves as a platform for local brands to present novel designs and the latest in contemporary clothing.
As part of a series of working visits carried out within the Solo and Sukoharjo area, Indonesia’s Minister of Industry, Mr Saleh Husin, SE, M.Si, took the opportunity to visit Dan Liris on 13th February 2015. This visit encompassed a meeting with Ms Michelle Tjokrosaputro as President Director of Dan Liris, as well as a factory tour.
Danliris Group hosted its Annual Meeting between the 30th of January and 3rd of February 2015 at the Max One Hotel in Jimbaran, Bali. Attended by representatives of the group’s five companies, this event saw PT. Dan Liris present its strategy for 2015 and provide an overview of its performance from over the course of 2014.
Dan Liris on 6th November 2014 showcased the latest collection from its in-house brand Bateeq at Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 – the pre-eminent platform for Indonesia’s major fashion labels and its most talented local designers. In participating in this trend-setting event, Bateeq unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection.
In keeping with a strategy to modernize its production facilities, Dan Liris in October 2014 became the first company in Indonesia to use Thermex 6500 Continuous Dyeing machinery, manufactured by A. Monforts Textilmaschinen. The implementation of this technology in Dan Liris’ production process will raise the capacity of its Finishing & Printing Division to 42 million yards of fabric per year.
On Sunday, 22nd June 2014, PT Dan Liris invited the Governor of Central Java, Mr Ganjar Pranowo, as well as other regional leaders to witness and participate in Panen Raya – a CSR event carried out via cooperation between PT Dan Liris, Desa Banaran’s local government and the Desa Banaran Farmers Group.
As the latest example of its commitment to community empowerment, Dan Liris on 2nd June 2014 participated in the inauguration of a new Community Learning Centre (Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat, PKBM) in Silir, Central Java. To contribute to this worthy cause, Dan Liris donated 15 sewing machines to be used as learning tools in sewing courses.
The latter half of December 2013 marked the opening of three new retail outlets for Dan Liris’ Bateeq brand. Having already established notable market presence through its stores in Jakarta, Serpong, Cibubur, Kuta and Malang; the company expanded its network of outlets to include branches in Bandung, Cibinong and Karawaci.
As part of its initiative to promote the development of new skills within its workforce, Dan Liris on the 25th of November 2013 sent 20 of its employees to participate in the Textile Competence Assessor Training Program. The program, held in collaboration with Indonesia’s Professional Certification Institute, provides participants with the necessary training to become certified assessors of textile manufacturing standards and accurate judges of a textile worker’s proficiency in spinning, weaving and other related tasks.
On 31st January 2013, Dan Liris received Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification thereby granting them with the authorisation to use the Oeko-Tex label on a number of their products, including woven fabrics made from either 100% cotton or a polyester/cotton mix as well as woven fabrics that are white, piece-dyed or reactive printed and finished.
