Indonesia’s sea cargo volumes have been growing steadily in line with the country’s positive economic growth and are expected to reach 1 billion tonnes in 2013. Tanjung Priok port which handles over 50% of the country’s total cargo volumes has dramatically improved its efficiency to slash handling times and double the amount of cargo traffic from 3.9 million TEUs in 2008 to 7.2 million TEUs in 2012. IPC and the significant improvements that have taken place at Tanjung Priok port have played a central role in facilitating the expansion of sea cargo in Indonesia thus preparing the country for its role as a major global shipping destination.
IPC provides world class cargo services to support customers at every step of the shipment process from loading and unloading to safe and secure storage. The company offers pier services to ensure the smooth flow of goods on the dock, stevedoring for the unloading of goods and delivery to the dock, cargodoring for the movement of goods from the dock to a warehouse or other storage facility in addition to the delivery of goods from storage to distribution trucks or vice versa.
For storage and warehousing services, the company handles the consignment of the goods to the warehouse as well as determining and managing the necessary storage space.
