On 9th September 2014 Pura Mayungan received an award from SGS – a leading international inspection, verification, testing and certification firm – marking ten years of Quality Management System certification. Upon bestowing Pura Mayungan with this distinction, SGS commended the electrical component manufacturer for its total dedication and commitment in adhering to the requirements mandated by ISO 9001 certification. Having taken upon the initiative to become ISO 9001:2008 certified following the revision of ISO standards, Pura Mayungan first received its Quality Management System certification on 6th October 2004.
Pura Mayungan’s latest achievement was announced in tandem with the hosting of SGS’ 12th Quality Network Conference (QNC) 2014 at the Jakarta Convention Centre. This event was attended by approximately 1,500 companies for whom SGS has provided its certification and inspection services, in addition to a host of notable figures from the local government and business community. Among the event’s keynote speakers were Mr Khairul Anwar, Director General of Training and Productivity at the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, as well as Mr Sofjan Wanandi, Chairman of the Indonesian Employer’s Association (Apindo).
Ms Titiek S. Sudarti as Certification Manager at SGS Indonesia, in keeping with the event’s theme of Learning & Development, took the opportunity to provide attendees with an update on the revision to Quality Management System certification standards set to take place with the introduction of ISO 9001:2015. Following this informative announcement, SGS formally released its list honoring companies that reached the ten-year milestone for certification. Joining Pura Mayungan in receiving the '10 Years Award' were CIMB Niaga, ACE Hardware, Garuda Indonesia and Bank Danamon.
