On 13th May 2017, market-leading quality paint manufacturer, Indaco, carried out its corporate social responsibility by planting 1,000 eucalyptus trees in Tawangmangu, Central Java. Tawangmangu – home to the protected forest of Lawu Mountains – experienced a forest fire in 2012 which has since impacted the livelihoods of the surrounding communities; today, the forest remains largely dry and deserted.
On 15th December 2016, Indaco received the Karanganyar Award 2016 for the Environmentally Conscious Company category which took place in Karanganyar, Central Java. During the event, Indaco was acknowledged for the company’s numerous contributions in supporting environmental sustainability measures through its various corporate social responsibility activities and internal programmes.
On 5th December 2016, Indaco celebrated its 11th anniversary alongside the company’s employees and senior-level management members. The company focused on the theme of “Indaco Bersahabat” which emphasised the importance of Cleanliness, Health, and Greatness in keeping with Indaco’s corporate goals.
On 22nd August 2016, leading high-quality paint manufacturer Indaco hosted an event at Hotel Alila in Solo for the relaunch campaign of its in-house Belazo paint brand. Indaco’s latest relaunch strategy is in-line with the company’s product innovation principle in addition to a strategic measure to competitively position the Belazo name in the market.
On 6th December 2015 Indaco hosted an event to celebrate its ten-year anniversary. The event was held at its manufacturing facility in the city of Solo, Central Java and attended by Indaco employees and members of the local communities surrounding Indaco’s offices. The goal of the festivities focused on Indaco’s continued efforts to contribute to the local economy and be at the forefront of Indonesia’s paint and coating industry through eco-friendly innovations.
On 24th October 2015 PT Indaco Warna Dunia in partnership with the Environmental Management Agency (BPLH) of Bandung launched a contest that involved 146 districts and sub-districts in the city. The goal of the contest was to promote and raise environmental awareness by engaging local communities to proactively undertake green initiatives.
Indaco has furthered its standing as a trusted supplier of paint and coating products within discerning international markets by successfully obtaining Singapore Green Label certification in Category 031 for Paints & Surface Coatings.
In mid-2015, Indaco successfully completed an audit carried out by United Registrar of Systems (URS) affirming its status as a company that adheres to ISO 14001:2004 certification standards for environmental management. This accomplishment stands as the latest in a growing portfolio of distinctions and accreditations obtained by Indaco.
Waste management has long been one of the major challenges faced by large, densely populated cities. Conscious of this, Indaco in 2014 launched an Environmental Waste Management Program applied within its factory and the surrounding community. This program aims to reduce the improper disposal of waste from the factory into the environment by raising awareness among employees of the importance of creating and maintaining a clean workplace.
On 26th November 2013, the Ministry of Industry formally recognised 69 companies that have demonstrated a commitment to caring about the environment.
