Environmentally Friendly Paints

Creating a local paint brand that provides high quality in addition to being environmentally friendly has been central to Indaco’s philosophy and key to its success in the Indonesian market. This focus on being environmentally friendly stems from not only the need to take responsible actions for Indonesia to undergo sustainable development but also due to the health risks associated with the use of traditional materials such as lead and mercury. Indaco has therefore made great efforts in not only focusing on environmentally friendly paints as a gimmick but has strived to educate the market about the impact of using paints that contain harmful and potentially carcinogenic substances. Growing health consciousness among the Indonesian consumer market means that the company’s marketing campaigns are having a far reaching impact and enabling contractors and other industry professionals to make the right procurement choices considering environmental impact and quality as well as cost.

Indaco’s commitment to being environmentally friendly extends to not only its products but also its own manufacturing practices. The company’s production facilities in Solo, Central Java operate on a minimal waste system. All rejected and waste materials produced during the manufacturing process are therefore recycled and utilised along the production line such as in packaging.

Indaco’s proven success in this field has been recognised on a national level by the Ministry of Trade whereby Indaco was the only Indonesian paint brand among the companies selected to receive recognition for their environmentally friendly products.
