ENVIPLAST® | ENVIPLAST® Participates in Indonesia Trade Expo 2017
11.10.2017

From 11th-15th October 2017, ENVIPLAST® participated in the 2017 Indonesian Trade Expo which was held at the ICE Convention Centre in BSD. Organised by the Ministry of Trade, the event provided local and international companies with the platform to showcase their latest products and services to customers and industry partners; the Indonesian government targeted some $1.1 billion USD in transactions at the expo. This year’s expo was themed ‘Global Partner for Sustainable Resources’ which meant the products on offer were manufactured in accordance with international environmental and social standards. Prominent figures attending the event included President Joko Widodo and Minister of Trade Mr Enggartiasto Lukita.

ENVIPLAST® took the opportunity to exhibit its market-leading bio-based pellets and film with the company also displaying its specially designed blown machine used to make PE bags; the company demonstrated to visitors how they could modify their own existing machines to produce eco-friendly bioplastic products. Moreover, ENVIPLAST® highlighted the diverse applications for its bio-based pellets such as for shopping bags — which carries a capacity of 6kg — disposable aprons, and laundry bags among many others. As such, the company’s extensive range of biodegradable products is evident of the increasing demand for bioplastics both in Indonesia and abroad.

As environmental issues come to play an increasing role in national policies around the world, ENVIPLAST®’s products have the potential to lower business’ dependence on hydrocarbon-based plastics. Through its recent participation at the Indonesian Trade Expo, the company’s active engagement with the global business community for new collaborations as well as partnerships will help set the international standard for bioplastics as the alternative to conventional PE bags.
