On 7th December 2012, Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia received the prestigious Technology Pioneer Award from Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry, in recognition of their ability to create ENVIPLAST®: a cost effective bio-based alternative to plastic film. The company is the first to have comprehensively developed a cassava derived polymer in Indonesia and as such was deemed an appropriate recipient of an award created to honour companies willing to invest in innovation and able to produce concrete, marketable results.

Mr Herman Moeliana, President Director, accepted the award on behalf of ENVIPLAST® at the State Palace at a ceremony attended by leading players in Indonesia’s manufacturing industry as well as senior members of the government, including President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. As the winner of the most sought after distinction available to Indonesian manufacturers, Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia and its achievements were featured in the Jakarta Post immediately after receiving the award.
