As a textile manufacturer renowned for its commitment to modernisation, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills has since the turn of the year been actively working to implement new technology within its factory in Bandung, West Java. Foremost among the company’s latest advancements in this regard is the recent introduction of cutting-edge machinery and innovative operational systems designed to improve upon productivity as well as raise the quality of its fabrics.
Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ ongoing initiative to invest as a means of modernising its manufacturing facilities is evident in its decision to install a new warp preparation ISOSIZE machine from Karl Mayer in March. This technology will allow for greater precision in the processing of spun yarns to high-quality warp beams, and is particularly well-suited to increasing the production throughput of Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ uniform fabrics.
The installation of the ISOSIZE machine last month coincided with the company’s move to also launch an online document control system, through which employees will be able to access more than 800 documents encompassing manuals, procedures, and work instructions. By mitigating instances in which employees will need to print and distribute said documents, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills’ expects that this system will help to reduce paper usage and should serve to strengthen the manufacturer’s reputation as a business dedicated to eco-friendly processes and waste minimisation (See Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills Commended for its Efforts to Protect the Environment).
Most recently, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills in April 2016 took a step forward in upgrading its testing equipment through investment in a new beaker dyeing machine for the Dyeing & Finishing Lab. Purchased from the Swiss-based Mathis AG, this system is to play a critical role in facilitating the colour proofing process as well as in the production of test samples.
Moving forward, Nagasakti Kurnia Textile Mills intends to continue to invest in the latest technology to cement its position as a pioneering force in Indonesia’s textile manufacturing industry. These developments are set to take place in tandem with a range of other internal improvement programmes, such as the hosting of frequent training events to create skilled human resources and foster a positive corporate culture.
