Dan Liris on 6th November 2014 showcased the latest collection from its in-house brand Bateeq at Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 – the pre-eminent platform for Indonesia’s major fashion labels and its most talented local designers. In participating in this trend-setting event, Bateeq unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection illustrative of the brand’s innovative use of batik motifs in contemporary clothing for the modern consumer.
The theme for Bateeq’s Spring/Summer 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection as presented during Jakarta Fashion Week was Tumaruntum, meaning ‘everlasting love that continues to grow’. Inspired by Truntum, a Central Javanese batik motif with a heritage that dates back several centuries, this line reflects Dan Liris’ adept ability to revitalise traditional patterns through cutting-edge pieces such as billowy dresses, lightweight shirts, skirts and culottes. To appeal to diverse consumer needs, Bateeq’s Spring/Summer 2015 Collection features both day and evening wear predominantly offered in soft colours such as pink, light blue and white, as well as in bolder tones such as black and dark blue.
Dan Liris’ participation in Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 through Bateeq marks the latest stage in its ongoing initiative to expand into the retail sector. The company has in recent months sought to raise brand awareness through collaboration with leading Indonesian designers such as Peggy Hartanto, as well as via promotional offers for loyal customers. Bateeq makes available two VIP membership cards – gold and platinum – for customers spending more than 1 million IDR or 2 million IDR within a six month period, respectively. Membership rewards include a 10-15% discount at Bateeq outlets, which can be found at major commercial centres across Indonesia in locations including Plaza Indonesia, Pacific Place, Cihampelas Walk, Solo Paragon Mall, Lippo Mall Kuta and Plaza Medan Fair, among others.
