BNI Syariah | BNI Syariah Records Profit Increase of 39.98% in 2015

BNI Syariah continued to maintain stable growth with regards to its financial performance by registering a 39.98% year-on-year increase in profits in 2015. This result was announced by Mr Dinno Indiano as the President Director of BNI Syariah in an official statement recently which came as positive news amidst the lacklustre economic climate impacting most business sectors in Indonesia. The result itself is comparable to the Islamic bank’s performance in 2014 in which the company’s profits rose by 38.9% compared to the previous year, thus signifying its leading position in a sector that according to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) experienced declining growth throughout most of 2015. Overall, BNI Syariah recorded a total profit amounting to 228.52 billion IDR during the year.

In his statement, Mr Indiano also revealed other accomplishments achieved by his institution,  including an 18.09% growth in assets to a position of 23.01 trillion IDR as of December 2015, an 18.11% growth in financing disbursement to a position of 17.76 trillion IDR, and an 18.94% increase in third-party funds by gaining an additional 3.07 trillion IDR in customer deposits. Furthermore, BNI Syariah disbursed a total of 17.76 trillion IDR for financing activities, of which 52.71% was distributed for consumer financing (with 85.99% going to Griya iB Hasanah mortgage loans), 22.27% as productive financing for SMEs, 17.22% for commercial loans, 5.63% for micro loans, and 2.15% for the company’s Hasanah Card.
