Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) in October 2015 visited several leading institutions of higher education in the United States as part of its latest initiative to further its capabilities as a university offering an international standard learning experience. In preparing for an era of unprecedented globalization and regional integration, UNTAR has been proactive in reaching out to prominent universities overseas to gain insights into the latest developments in the global academic community. These visits also serve as the foundation from which UNTAR intends to explore opportunities to cooperate with new international partners.
Led by Prof. Ir. Roesdiman Soegiarso, M.Sc., Ph.D. as Rector of UNTAR, representatives from the university visited Ohio State University, George Washington University, Rutgers University, the University of Missouri – Kansas City, the University of San Francisco and the Kauffman Foundation over the course of the trip. In meeting with senior faculty members from these esteemed universities, Prof. Ir. Roesdiman Soegiarso was accompanied by Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H. as Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation and Dr. Shirly Gunawan, Sp.FK as a representative for the Faculty of Medicine.
