As testament to its standing as a university offering education of the highest quality, Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) in late August 2015 celebrated its most recent accomplishment on the global stage; namely, its students' success in winning a competition in Taiwan. Having previously outperformed several other teams from leading local universities to win the Asiagraph Reallusion Award 2015, three students from UNTAR’s Faculty of Visual Art & Design – Sandi, Regina and Cindy Elizabeth Octaviany – were asked to represent Indonesia at the competition’s international level hosted in Taoyuan, Taiwan.  

This event stands among the most prestigious showcases of visual art and design projects in the Asia Pacific Region, and is particularly well-known for its focus on 3D animation movies. With the guidance of lecturer Sonny Adi Purnomo as a mentor, the UNTAR team placed first in the Best Creative category and as such received a Top Asiagraph Official Certificate and a prize of $10,000 USD. This achievement only serves to strengthen UNTAR’s continued support for its students’ ambitious plans to participate in renowned competitions on both the national and international stage.
