On 26th January 2015, UNTAR’s Faculty of Information Technology underwent an audit for ISO 9001:2008 recertification by the Indonesia URS Certification Agency. Immediately following the audit, it was announced that the faculty will be recertified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant as testament to the highest standards of teaching offered by UNTAR.
The audit team serves as a representative of URS United Kingdom which is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). ISO 9001 is the international standard in quality management systems. The obtaining of the accreditation is therefore recognition of meeting all international requirements relating to quality assurance in the management of the services or products that the certified party offers.
UNTAR’s Faculty of Information Technology first received the ISO certification in January 2012. This therefore represents a renewal of this previous accreditation and marks a continuation of the university’s commitment to adhere to the best practices in all of its faculties.
