As a university fully committed to exploring new avenues to forge strong ties with international markets, Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 21st January 2016 hosted a visitation by the Australian Embassy to its main campus in Jakarta. Led by Mr Paul Grigson as the current Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, the visiting delegation was formally welcomed during a ceremony held in UNTAR’s Executive Lounge.
Building upon the success of its previous events that gathered leading thinkers from the global academic community, Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) from 5th-6th November 2015 hosted the 2015 instalment of the International Conference of Entrepreneurship and Business Management (ICEBM) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tarumanagara University in October 2015 visited several leading institutions of higher education in the United States as part of its latest initiative to further its capabilities as a university offering an international standard learning experience. In preparing for an era of unprecedented globalization and regional integration, UNTAR has been proactive in reaching out to prominent universities overseas to gain insights into the latest developments in the global academic community.
Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 6th October 2015 was formally recognised for its excellence in showcasing Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage by the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI), and was particularly commended for its continued efforts to incorporate local culture as a theme during graduation ceremonies.
In keeping with its commitment to the pursuit of continuous internal improvement, Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) in October 2015 celebrated the attainment of ‘A’ Accreditation for the Faculty of Medicine’s Medical Programme. Bestowed upon the university by Indonesia’s National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT), this distinction stands as testament to the superior quality of education offered at UNTAR.
Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 7th September 2015 took its latest step in building upon an expansive network of international partners by hosting a delegation from the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) at the Executive Lounge of its campus in Jakarta.
As testament to its standing as a university offering education of the highest quality, Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) in late August 2015 celebrated its most recent accomplishment on the global stage; namely, its students success in winning a competition in Taiwan.
Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 11th June 2015 formalized its plan to collaborate with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and Sucorinvest Central Gani during an official ceremony held at the university’s second campus in Jakarta.
On 19th March 2015, Tarumanagara University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Modern Internasional Tbk, marking the start of an academia-industry linkage which will make available scholarship and internship opportunities for Untar students, as well as other collaborations which include joint market research activities and mystery shopper programmes.
Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 13th March 2015 formally agreed to collaborate with the University of Malaya - an esteemed institution of higher education based in Malaysia. The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Executive Lounge of UNTAR’s Jakarta campus marks the beginning of the universities’ plan to work together in two specific academic fields: Law and Engineering.
On 26th January 2015, UNTAR’s Faculty of Information Technology underwent an audit for ISO 9001:2008 recertification by the Indonesia URS Certification Agency. Immediately following the audit, it was announced that the faculty will be recertified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant as testament to the highest standards of teaching offered by UNTAR.
On the 16th December 2014, the Rector of Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) and the Regency Head of East Belitung (Beltim) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding cooperation for the Development of Beltim District. This MoU serves as a follow up and continuation from the previous agreement that was signed between the two parties in 2012.
Tarumanagara University successfully organized and hosted the Third International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Business Management (ICEBM) on 6th-7th November 2014. Held at the Eastin Hotel in Penang, Malaysia, the conference focused on the theme of ‘Entrepreneurial Innovation and Business Sustainability’ with the aim of facilitating the exchange of ideas for best practice in business
Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) on 23rd May 2014 signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) during a visit to the latter’s campus in Penang. Cooperation between the two institutions of higher education will encompass joint research, the publication of academic journals as well as group visits for UNTAR students to USM’s School of Communications.
