Indicative of the company’s emergence as a household name amongst Indonesian consumers, Sunpride® was recognised as a leading local brand at the 2013 Indonesia Brand Forum held at the Jakarta Convention Centre. The event, attended by executives from a host of the country’s foremost companies as well as the Minister of State Enterprises, Mr Dahlan Iskan, aimed to raise awareness about the need for Indonesian businesses to develop brands capable of competing on a global level and also formally celebrated companies that have already succeeded in achieving this goal.
With an impressive network of export markets and foreign partners, Sewu Segar Nusantara’s ability to establish itself domestically and branch out abroad was emphasised as being exemplary of the model agro branding strategy for Indonesian firms. After accepting a certificate of recognition on behalf of the Sunpride brand, acting CEO Mr Martin Widjadja took to the stage in his role as one of the keynote speakers to discuss the importance of improving upon the way Indonesian goods and services are perceived.
In elucidating upon the company’s experiences in becoming Indonesia’s principal producer and distributor of fruits, Mr Widjadja made clear that Sewu Segar Nusantara is thoroughly committed to promoting Indonesian products and hopes to build off of its experience working with local farmers to continue advancing the quality of local fruits made available to both domestic and foreign consumers. Always willing to embrace the latest in branding techniques, the company expects to make further use of social media to increase its market penetration and visibility.
